Even if you are published through a traditional publisher (rather than self-publish) you’ll still need to get involved in the marketing of your book(s).


Why?


Well, if you go with a traditional publisher they will expect you to, or if you self-publish then your book will almost inevitably languish in obscurity if you don’t market it well enough.
